OK - got it!

We love bag in boxes they are a superb format that keep the beer in excellent condition. Yeovil Ales racks each order fresh from the cask on the brewery stillage in Yeovil. The beer is bright so it contains no sediment and is ready to drink straight away. They are ideal for drinking at home, large parties and outside events where ease of use is paramount. Bag in boxes are utilised extensively for the on and off trade.

Bag in boxes are designed so the beer can be served immediately. To serve the bag in box should be as near to 12 °C as possible for the best results. A little colder is certainly better than too warm. The beer has a lifetime of 2 weeks from despatch, irrespective of whether they are opened or not. It is important to keep it cool. The beer is dispensed through a self-sealing push button tap - no drips, no waste. As the beer flows the bag collapses within the box. This ensures that no air is mixed with the beer.

A simple instruction guide is included with every order. Never open a box with a sharp blade, unless you are really thirsty! It has been done ...

History

The original brew recipe concept for SUMMERSET goes way back to the early nineties when ROB was going through an experimental phase ;-)  The challenge was to brew a pleasant tasting, fruity blonde, with great body and not too long a finish.

SUMMERSET was Yeovil Ales first commercial brew and won "Champion Beer Of The Festival" at the CAMRA Weymouth Octoberfest, October 2006.

SUMMERSET then went on to win the Silver Award at the West Dorset CAMRA Beerex '07 held in Dorchester, February 2007.
