Handy for the glorious golden stone abbey, this old-fashioned town ale house pleases everyone who likes their pubs down-to-earth. It has four or five interesting real ales on hand pump, and they work through around 20 different beers a week, most from fairly local brewers such as Cottage, Exmoor, Goldfinch and Otter.
